ARA-290 (14mg)

Cibinetide / EPO Analog

ARA-290 (Cibinetide) is an 11-amino acid peptide derived from the helix B domain of erythropoietin (EPO). Unlike EPO, it does not affect red blood cell production but retains powerful tissue-protective and anti-inflammatory properties.

The Science

What is ARA-290?

ARA-290 is a synthetic peptide engineered to mimic the tissue-protective effects of erythropoietin without the hematopoietic (red blood cell stimulating) effects that limit EPO's clinical utility.

It binds to the innate repair receptor (IRR), a heteromer of the EPO receptor and CD131, which is upregulated in injured and inflamed tissues. This selective binding produces anti-inflammatory and pro-repair effects.

Research has focused on diabetic neuropathy, sarcoidosis-related small fiber neuropathy, chronic neuropathic pain, and tissue injury repair.

Laboratory Observations

Key Observed Effects of ARA-290 (14mg)

Neuropathy Support

Researched for diabetic and sarcoidosis-related small fiber neuropathy.

Pain Reduction

May reduce chronic neuropathic pain by repairing damaged nerve fibers.

Tissue Repair

Promotes repair of inflamed and injured tissues without affecting red blood cell production.

Anti-Inflammatory

Modulates chronic inflammation through innate immune pathways.

Mechanism of Action

Mechanism of Action

ARA-290 activates the innate repair receptor to reduce inflammation and promote tissue regeneration.

1

Innate Repair Receptor Binding

Selectively binds the IRR expressed on injured cells, triggering pro-survival and anti-inflammatory pathways.

2

Neuroprotection

Supports nerve fiber repair and reduces neuropathic pain signaling in damaged peripheral nerves.

3

Anti-Inflammatory Action

Downregulates pro-inflammatory cytokines while promoting resolution of chronic inflammation.
